Biologische activiteit

Beschrijving BAPTA-AM is een selectieve, membraanpermeabele calciumchelator.
In vitro

BAPTA-AM, als een intracellulaire calciumchelator, induceert vertraagde necrose door lipoxygenase-gemedieerde vrije radicalen in muizencortexculturen.

Deze verbinding oefent een open kanaal blokkerend effect uit op hERG-, hKv1.3- en hKv1.5-kanalen met een IC50 van 1,3, 1,45 en 1,23 μM in HEK 293-cellen.

In Vivo

BAPTA-AM heft de UDCA- en TUDCA-geïnduceerde toenames in Ca2+-niveaus of Ca2+-afhankelijke PKC-α-fosforylering op en neutraliseert de cytoprotectieve effecten van UDCA en TUDCA op de vagotomie-geïnduceerde schade van de galboom bij BDL-ratten.

Formation of the AnxA2 complex in MBMECs was evaluated by immunoprecipitation and Western blot analysis after cryptococcal exposure.
