시험관 내(In vitro) 알로인 (바르발로인), *알로에 베라*에서 추출한 천연 안트라사이클린은 2mM의 억제율을 가진 Tyrosinase 억제제입니다. 이 화합물은 생리적 농도(IC50 = 97 µM)에서 현저한 항증식 효과를 보이며, S기 세포 주기 정지를 유발하고 HeLaS3 세포 사멸을 현저히 증가시킵니다(24%까지). 또한 MCF-7 세포주에서 세포 사멸 유도, topo II 알파 단백질 발현 억제 및 cyclin B1 단백질 발현 하향 조절을 통해 유사분열을 겪는 세포의 비율을 감소시킵니다.
