설명	U18666A (U18)는 뎅기열 바이러스의 진입과 복제를 억제하는 세포 내 콜레스테롤 수송 억제제입니다.
시험관 내(In vitro)	U18666A로 세포를 처리하면 바이러스 입자가 Lamp-1 양성 후기 엔도솜/리소좀 구획에 갇힙니다. 또한, 바이러스 복제도 이 화합물 처리의 영향을 받습니다. 지방산 합성 효소 억제제인 C75를 이 화학 물질과 함께 사용하면 추가적인 항바이러스 효과가 나타나, DENV에서 콜레스테롤과 지방산의 역할을 시사합니다.
생체 내(In Vivo)	제1형 FIPV에 실험적으로 감염된 고양이에게 U18666A를 투여하면 대조군에 비해 FIP 발병이 억제될 수 있습니다. 그러나 FIP를 앓는 동물의 수가 너무 적어 고양이에서 이 화합물의 항바이러스 효과를 입증하기 어렵습니다.
